We arrived to a beautiful fresh snow fall. Every branch on every tree glittered like a beautiful Christmas card. A family of deer greeted us at the front door, like they had been invited to share a secret only the two of us and the wonderful Elizabeth had planned! We stood in the corner of the deck with the snowflakes falling silently around us. We said our vows, we shared some tears. With a sweet warm kiss she pronounced us husband and wife in the most amazing setting any bride and groom could have hoped for! Thank you for the memory! This was our first time here, and it was wonderful!! We were married in the Log Gazebo yesterday and it was beautiful. Elizabeth and Patrick were great! The cabin is so cozy. We sat in the hot tub and watched the squirrels play. We will definitely be returning, hopefully for a longer stay. We would love to bring our dogs, they would be in heaven. Red and golden leaves covered the ground upon our arrival. The cozy, rustic cabin was perfect. There was a note on the door congratulating us on our wedding at the Gazebo the following day. We settled in for the evening and enjoyed the hot tub. A mother deer and baby visited us. Our wedding Saturday was beautiful. Romance filled the air. The gazebo was decorated with fall foliage and candles. I've never had such a romantic moment! Our wedding weekend was perfect! We didn't want to go back home. We arrived at our cabin on Friday afternoon after driving most of the night...from Appomattox, VA! As we pulled in in our 1977 VW Bus, we were in awe. Right away we knew that Aidan (Golden Retriever) and Max (German Shepard) were going to be in heaven. We entered the cabin and were very excited about our Bed of Roses, votive candles, picnic basket, and music that was playing. Immediately that set the tone for our long weekend. Woke up to rain...a little disappointed because we were getting married at 3pm at Ash Cave. Friends came to the wedding as well as the dogs...they were in the wedding! The rain had stopped by 3, but it was cloudy. When we were pronounced man and wife and kissed, the sun came out for about 10 seconds. It was AWESOME! After, we hung out at the cabin and at 7:00, we had the Traveling Chef serve us a fantastic meal! After so much driving we decided to have a good day of R&R. :) Grilled out and had a campfire complete with S'mores. Decided to check out Old Man's Cave and the pool at the Lower Falls was an awesome place for the dogs to swim and play. Going to have some more R&R with grill and campfire. The cabin was wonderful! We loved the privacy and coziness. We were married in the gazebo on 10/31/09. Elizabeth married us and Patrick took pictures. I've never had such a romantic and memorable experience in my life. Elizabeth made the ceremony so special. She was caring and sincere yet professional. My new husband hates to have his picture taken. Patrick did such a good job! He was patient and really worked with us to get some good poses. We appreciate both Elizabeth and Patrick. This was our first trip to Hocking Hills and we had a great time. My wife and I were married here and then spent our honeymoon here at Getaway Cabins. We enjoyed the sites and beautiful landscape. There is a lot of hiking involved to see the sites, but it was well worth it. The cabin was relaxing and cozy. We have a 4 yr. old boy at home that we are beginning to miss. We will be bringing him, as well as the child we are expecting, the next time that we visit. We had a wonderful fall wedding and would like to thank the staff for their efforts on our special day. We got married here at Getaway Cabins and stayed in this Cabin for the weekend. It was everything I could have imagined and we will definitely be back. We are already discussing Valentine's Day...Well, my wife is in tears now, so I'll finish. These cabins are perfect for couples, whether you're getting married or just looking for a romantic getaway. I highly recommend the hot tub. Just take advantage of every opportunity to be one with each other. We came here to be married as part of the WeddingMoon package. We could not have asked for a more perfect day. Sunny & warm but not hot-slight breeze with the leaves beginning to turn-it was beautiful. Our ceremony was short, but lovely and everyone worked with us to make it a time to remember with fondness. The staff was very helpful, the cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The music playing and the fire on when we entered the cabin made it feel like home. We have really enjoyed our stay. Even the rainy weather the day after our wedding felt nice, soft and warm as we watched from the porch rockers. My new husband and I came here to have a personal wedding...We got here on the day of our wedding and everything looked perfect! I found Getaway Cabins online and it looked and sounded so nice we drove 5+ hours to get here, and YES, it was worth it! :) They set our honeymoon up perfectly. We bought the "Ultimate Fantasy" package and everything was worth the price! The outside setting of our wedding was beautiful although it was a mixture of rain/snow which started not long before our ceremony. However, although the weather was horrid and I got my wedding dress all muddy and was freezing my whole ceremony, everyone here made it amazing and I wouldn't change anything! We had a picnic lunch waiting in our cabin when we got back, our room was decorated beautifully and later on a chef came and cooked us an amazing dinner in our cabin. What a pristine, personal, quiet, and secluded place to get married! Last night here and I don't know how many times we've said we don't want to go back home to crazy city life! We found this cabin on the internet and everything fell in place after that. We knew we would marry sometime soon, but once we booked the cabin we thought it would be a perfect spot to celebrate our special day. Our ceremony was at 12:30pm so after that we had the whole day to enjoy. We went out to explore the area. Ash Cave was amazing! When Carl & I first talked about our wedding, we both agreed that we wanted simple AND private. Getaway Cabins not only provided that, but this beautiful, secluded cabin for our "mini honeymoon" as well! Everything was perfect (and the rain even stopped too!). We came to Getaway Cabins to get married. We had a beautiful ceremony in the Gazebo which was beautifully decorated. Elizabeth officiated it and did a wonderful job. What a sweet gal she is! We’ve enjoyed our honeymoon here and I am sad to leave the hot tub, sleeping in, and the animal visits. The deer and hummingbirds especially like our little feedings. The cabin is adorable and the serenity and solitude was exactly what we were looking for. We had the chef prepare us dinner and that was very good! I would highly suggest treating yourself to that. Wow! What a wonderful romantic getaway. We were married on the 5^th out in the Gazebo with Elizabeth officiating. The ceremony was so personal and beautiful. The wildlife around the cabin and the area was a wonderful sight. We saw wild turkeys, raccoons, deer, squirrels, a red headed woodpecker and all the other birds of this area. Everything was just simply marvelous! The hot tub was so relaxing! The staff were very friendly and the cabin was clean and very peaceful. Getaway Cabins not only provided that, but this beautiful, secluded cabin for our "mini honeymoon" as well! Everything was perfect (and the rain even stopped too!). We never would have imagined we would start our new lives together at a place like this. We are already talking about coming back. The staff has been wonderful. The tranquility that surrounds this cabin is amazing! Anytime we are on either porch, the sounds of nature just emanate! And the hot tub is heavenly! We leave tomorrow morning and certainly neither of us are ready for "back to reality" yet!! Thanks to all of you who had a hand in making our "WeddingMoon" so wonderful and special.

We have been to the Hocking Hills area twice before which is the very thing that brought us back here on the most important day of our lives-our wedding day. We wanted an intimate wedding and it couldn't have been more special or perfect! We married at the gazebo right up the path. It was a beautiful ceremony and the pastor (Elizabeth) and her crew were wonderful. It is such a terrific feeling knowing that we will come back here to revisit the very spot where we exchanged vows and pledged our love. May you and yours find the "magic" in these hills just as the two of us have.

We came to Getaway Cabins to get married. We had a beautiful ceremony in the Gazebo which was beautifully decorated. Elizabeth officiated it and did a wonderful job. What a sweet gal she is! We’ve enjoyed our honeymoon here and I am sad to leave the hot tub, sleeping in, and the animal visits. The deer and hummingbirds especially like our little feedings. The cabin is adorable and the serenity and solitude was exactly what we were looking for. We had the chef prepare us dinner and that was very good! I would highly suggest treating yourself to that. We had a beautiful wedding-amazing solitude, friendly staff, a marvelous dinner-a perfect way to begin our marriage together!

I could never thank you enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams (to the man of my dreams). Everything about the planning was made very simple and catered to us. The ceremony was beautiful, and how sweet of the photographer to ask us which poses we wanted! We couldn't have asked for a nicer cabin. We had fun hiking to a waterfall. We plan on coming back and bringing lots of family and friends!

Wow! What a wonderful romantic getaway. We were married on the 5^th out in the Gazebo with Elizabeth officiating. The ceremony was so personal and beautiful. The wildlife around the cabin and the area was a wonderful sight. We saw wild turkeys, raccoons, deer, squirrels, a red headed woodpecker and all the other birds of this area. Everything was just simply marvelous! The hot tub was so relaxing! The staff were very friendly and the cabin was clean and very peaceful. We are planning to return in the fall and, of course, next year on our one year anniversary. Thanks for making our wedding and honeymoon such a memorable one.
